Stretch Marks in Males

Stretch marks in males are as common as in women as it has nothing to do with the gender. Women generally develop stretch marks during pregnancy on their stomach, buttocks and breast due to sudden increase of weight. Stretch marks may also develop due to change in the level of hormones. However males undergoing workout in gyms are more likely to have stretch marks as they have a rapid growth of muscles. It is also seen that males taking health supplements for body building develop stretch marks on their body.

Change in the level of hormones is common during puberty and it is seen that adolescent males are prone to stretch marks.
